I am about to leave for Tanzania for 9 months of studying poop, eyes, and flies and many days of eating sweet mangos. Each new adventure brings its share of challenges and moments of beauty and I hope to share of few of those from time to time. Admittedly, I'm not a "blogger" and more of a old fashioned letter writer, but will post updates when I get a chance for any of you who are bored, curious, or simply want to know what is going on in the rural parts of Kongwa, Tanzania. Here we go.......

how many haikus are you going to put up here over the next 9 months? I'm excited to get a little taste of Africa and flies through your words. However, we will miss you terribly here in the good old usa!
